High School
High School students are required to earn at least 22.5 credits (please refer to the student handbook for diploma types and requirements) to graduate. If your child has already failed one or more core classes, they will need to make up the credit before the beginning of the next school year. Please take advantage of some of these resources to help your child retrieve credit so that he/she is prepared to continue their coursework next year.

* Only CCSD counselors enroll students for summer school, because we are not a CCSD school, parents have to register their child for summer school. Do not try to use your child’s Somerset student ID.
*If you have questions, please contact the credit retrieval provider, as these are not Somerset Academy programs.
*Once your child has completed the summer school term, please submit the report card to our registrar as soon as possible and your child’s schedule will be accommodated, if applicable.
*Search for the class that closely resembles the title of the class that was failed at Somerset. Be sure to sign up for the correct semester as well, if only one semester has been failed.
*If a transcript is required, please contact our registrar at Somerset Academy Losee, to have it directly sent to the summer school you choose.
Middle School
Middle School students are required to pass all core classes both semester for promotion to the next grade. If your child is in a position where you either already know or foresee a possible challenge with your child’s promotion to the next grade, please take advantage of some of these resources to help him/her retrieve credit required for to the next grade.
